Quick Update

Molls, sorry I haven't responded to your IMs...by the time I get home every day, it's about 9:30 EST.

My position is "account executive" or "seach consultant" or "recruiter." Basically, our company has clients. Those clients will pay us a fee if we find them a good candiate for the positions they are hiring. So, my job is to find qualified people, call them, interview them, and weed out the losers. If I feel they're a good match for the company, I then forward them on and hope they get hired.

I LOVE the job. I'm constantly busy. I work from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm, but I actually get there around 7am and leave around 6pm. I never seem to get all my work done, but it's the nature of the position. The people I work with are tons of fun.

I know I'm not using my degree; I did get offered a job that was completely perfect for my degree, but it would've been incredibly boring. And honestly, I really don't want to go through all the state licensing again. It's such a pain in the ass. Right now, I'm really happy.

I do love it out here. I miss my friends a lot, but I really don't miss Erie at all. I read Goerie.com everyday...it sickens me that the city is going to hell. Businesses are shutting down, cops are being let go. It's really sad. I'm glad I left now. Please don't take this as me being snotty...I'm just glad I've gotten out. I may come back some day, maybe not. But you are all MORE than welcome to come visit!!

Deja Vu

Does anyone else think this synopsis (courtesy of imdb.com) sounds EXACTLY like 'Garden State?'

In writer/director Cameron Crowe's Elizabethtown, Orlando Bloom plays Drew Baylor, a rising executive at a powerful company whose latest project fails miserably and he is dismissed as a consequence. Things go from bad to worse when Drew is told that his father has just died and Drew must fly back to Elizabethtown, Kentucky, to retrieve his remains. On the plane Drew meets Claire (Kirsten Dunst), an irrepressible flight attendant who helps Drew cope with coming home and coming to terms with his life.

Cut. It. Out.

I watch too much 'Full House.'

Anyhow, STOP SPAMMING MY DAMN JOURNAL

I have spyware protection.
I have no interest in hot girls.
I do not want to work from home.
And I really don't care if you're an Ethiopian King looking to give me part of your fortune in exchange for my bank account.

Stop leaving comments. It's a waste of your time and a waste of my time deleting them.

That is all. Thank you.

Oil

From Fox News, O'Reilly Talking Points

Eight governors have now asked President Bush to investigate alleged price gouging. Those governors base their assertions on a study done by University of Wisconsin economist Don Nichols, who says for gasoline to cost $3 a gallon, the barrel price that OPEC charges would have to be $95. Since OPEC is presently charging $58 a barrel, Professor Nichols concludes the USA oil companies have some explaining to do.
